Research Manager
Alex joined Progressive in 2008, having previously worked for George Street Research, and as a senior consultant for the transport consultancy, DHC in Edinburgh. He has also worked as an independent researcher and obtained a PhD in Sociology & Business Studies from Edinburgh University in 2003. Alex has extensive knowledge and experience of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. He has largely focused on public sector research during his career, including projects in health, transport, rural development, education, and learning, for clients such as the Scottish and UK governments, the NHS, local authorities, and local enterprise companies. His recent private sector research experience includes customer satisfaction work, general consumer research and business to business studies for clients such as KwikFit, and Paymentshield Insurance.
