The View on Scotland is located close to the city centre, within a residential environment. With unlimited free street parking and in close proximity to air, rail and bus links, we are easily accessible. We are only ten minutes from Edinburgh Airport and five minutes from Edinburgh City Centre.

By Rail:

  • From Haymarket Station take a left turn onto West Coates and continue for 2 miles into Roseburn.
    Just after a pedestrian crossing (beside The Murrayfield Bar), Murrayfield Ave is a right turn and number 21 (Craigelachie) is half way up the avenue on the right hand side.
  • This walk would take 10 minutes, if you have heavy bags, a taxi is recommended. There is a taxi rank at the train station.


From Edinburgh Airport:

  • The journey from the airport takes about 10 minutes, but at peak times but best to allow 30 minutes.
  • The airport has two sets of taxi ranks which are signposted and easy to spot.
  • Go straight along A8 Glasgow Road for 5 miles. (Road turns into St John's Road and then Corstorphine Road).
    You will see Murrayfield Stadium on your right hand side and then Kwik-Fit.
    Murrayfield Ave is a left just after you pass Kwik-Fit.
    Number 21 (Craigelachie Hotel) is half way up the avenue on the right hand side
